The Chief Architect of MeeRa Maya, a mother of two young children, has often wondered on how her children were missing out on the fun that she & her generation had a few decades ago. First the boom of the Television, then the plethora of TV Channels, then the birth of the internet & now the move on the Mobility front – has all but killed the exposure & enthusiasm of outdoor Indian Games. Yes – a few games like Cricket & Soccer have flourished – but not by having the children on the field, but by keeping them tied to a sofa in front of a large Flat TV screen.
MeeRa Maya aims at spreading the knowledge of our Indian Games. All our Indian Games, tied so deeply into our culture, now would have a new avenue to spread & reinvigorate themselves. We hope to be providing our young children an exposure to our past culture through our games – Kho Kho, Kabaddi et all. To address this we have designed an independent service – M2 .
M2 too is an activity in the Pipe-line but one that would be rolled out soon. “Click here” for showing your interest in being a part of this ambitious project..
